What Is an Amazon Proxy?
An Amazon proxy is an IP address in the marketplace's country that your monitoring tool or scraper sends its requests through, so Amazon serves the local page.
Amazon shows different prices, offers and delivery options by marketplace and location, and it answers bursts of requests from one IP or from hosting ranges with CAPTCHAs. Rotating residential IPs spread requests over many home connections in the right country, which keeps price and stock data steady.
By task
Which Proxy for Which Amazon Task
| Amazon task | Proxy | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Price and stock monitoring | Residential, rotating | A new home IP per request in the marketplace's country keeps CAPTCHAs rare |
| Search rank and sponsored placement checks | Residential, by country and city | Results and ads change with location, so check from the market you sell in |
| Multi-page flows: search, product, offers | Residential, sticky session | Keep one IP for the whole flow with -sessid-, so the session and cart stay consistent |
| Reviews and Q&A for your own products | Residential, rotating | Many pages per product; rotation spreads the load |
| Logging in to your own Seller Central | ISP, one fixed IP | A stable address in your home country avoids repeated verification when you work from servers or abroad |

Tips
Good Practice on Amazon
Use the marketplace's country
Amazon.de from a German IP, Amazon.co.uk from a UK IP. Prices, offers and the Buy Box are shown for the visitor's market.
Set the delivery location
Delivery dates and some offers depend on the delivery postcode set in the session, not only on the IP. Set it once per sticky session.
Fetch HTML, skip images
Product pages are heavy in a browser. Request the HTML only, or block images and video, and your GB go much further.
FAQ
Amazon Proxies FAQ
Short answers about proxies for Amazon.
Which proxies work best for Amazon?
Rotating residential proxies. Amazon is quick to show CAPTCHAs to datacenter ranges and to single IPs that send many requests, while home IPs in the marketplace's country load normally.
Do datacenter proxies work on Amazon?
Sometimes, at low volume. At scale they hit CAPTCHAs much more often than residential IPs, so the retries usually cost more than they save.
How do I see prices for a specific Amazon marketplace?
Pick an IP in that country, for example USER-region-de for Amazon.de, and set the delivery postcode in the session. Amazon then shows that market's prices and offers.
Is it allowed to collect Amazon data?
Collecting public product pages is common for price monitoring, but Amazon's conditions of use limit automated access. Check the terms and the law where you operate, and do not collect personal data.
